Policies & Terms
Because saddle fit and equipment failure carry real risk, these policies are part of every order and are captured at purchase for custom builds.
Fit Disclaimer
The saddle tree is built to the fit information recorded on the order worksheet. Where measurements, tracings, or molds are supplied by the customer, the customer is responsible for their accuracy. Horses change with age, condition, and use; fit at delivery does not guarantee fit over the life of the saddle.
Deposit & Cancellation
Custom builds require a 50% deposit. The deposit is non-refundable once the tree is ordered. Work does not begin until the deposit is received.
Change-Order Policy
Changes to tree specifications after the tree is ordered, or to materials after leather is cut, may incur additional charges and extend the completion date. All changes must be confirmed in writing.
Balance Before Shipment
The balance is due in full before the saddle ships or is released. Saddles are shipped insured; risk of loss passes to the carrier upon shipment.
Lead-Time Expectations
The estimated completion date is an estimate only and may vary with workload and material availability. Typical custom lead times run 8 weeks to 18+ months.
Returns
Stock saddles may be returned per our stated stock-return window. Custom saddles are made to order and are generally non-returnable.
Warranty
Warranty terms cover workmanship as stated. (Final warranty language TBD.)
Inherent Risk & Product Liability
Inspect all rigging, hardware, and stitching before each use, and check cinches and latigos regularly. Riding is an inherently dangerous activity; this equipment must be properly fitted, maintained, and used as intended.
